Georgia Health Insurance Carriers for 2026

These are the insurers selling individual and family health plans in Georgia for 2026, and where to buy them.

The Georgia individual market in 2026

Nine insurers sold individual and family Marketplace plans for 2026, with different service areas by county. Cigna and UnitedHealthcare leave the marketplace after 2026 and a new insurer, Antidote Health Plan, plans to join for 2027. Most remaining insurers filed 2027 rate increases of 20% or more, so comparing plans this fall is important.

For 2026, the list includes Alliant, Ambetter from Peach State Health Plan, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield (and its affiliate AMGP), CareSource, Cigna, Kaiser Permanente, Oscar and UnitedHealthcare. Not every insurer serves every county.

Both are leaving Georgia Access after 2026, so you need to choose a new plan during open enrollment, November 1, 2026 to January 15, 2027. UnitedHealthcare says it will still sell off-exchange individual plans in Georgia, but those do not come with federal subsidies.

Filings reported in August 2026 showed most remaining insurers asking for increases of 20% or more, with a weighted average proposed increase near 21%. Final rates are set before open enrollment, and your own cost depends on any tax credit you get.

Georgia has run a reinsurance program since 2022 under a federal waiver, which helps lower full-price premiums. The waiver runs through 2026, and Georgia has asked for a five-year extension covering 2027 through 2031 that is under federal review.
